Handcrafted Green Purple Black Acrylic Civil War Ballpoint Pen

This pen is inspired by the era when correspondence was an art form and craftsmanship was honored. With a remarkably detailed Model 1861 Springfield Rifle Musket Clip, a replica 58 Caliber Minie’ Ball pen cap and 44 replica Caliber Colt Army bullet on the pen tip, this pen captures one of the most important times in our nations history.

The pen starts as an acrylic blank and is turned on my lathe until the desired shape achieved. It is then sanded and polished using a multi step process to a glassy shine. The final step is application of a wax process that will help maintain the beautiful finish.

This pen is 5 inches in length and a little more than 1/2 inches in diameter. The black ink refill is a “Parker” style. The writing tip is extended and retracted by twisting the cap on the clip end. The hardware is gun metal gray.

Each pen is thoroughly inspected before delivery to insure they deliver many years of service and enjoyment to you. Replacement ink refills can be purchased at most office supply stores.
