Custom Handmade Stars and Stripes Patriot Acrylic Ballpoint Pen

This pen style is called patriot. It is just under 5 inches in length and about 1/2 inch in diameter. A very nice size and well balanced. It uses a “Parker” style refill which are widely available. The writing tip is extended and retracted by a twist of the knurled clip end.

This pen is made of acrylic with white stars in a blue background and red and white stripes. The color combination is a symbol of the US Flag. The hardware is antique silver.

I turn these pens on my lathe from an acrylic blank. Once the desired shape is achieved, it is sanded to an extremely smooth finish. At this point, a multi step polishing process is used to bring out a durable shine. The final step is application of a microcrystalline wax to protect the finished pen.

Each pen is thoroughly re-inspected before delivery to insure they deliver many years of enjoyment to you. Replacement ink refills can be purchased at most office supply stores.
